Sixers hope to make it two in a row
Sydney Sixers are in back-to-back finals and are pumping for another title win as they take on Perth Scorchers in the final on Saturday in the 2020/21 edition of the BBL. The Sixers have had a great run to the final, beating the Scorchers themselves in the qualifier to reach here. They have odds of 1.90 to beat Perth Scorchers and win the finals.
Perth Scorchers, on the other hand, would be devastated by their loss in the qualifier against Sydney Sixers. They appeared the better team in the competition and were blown away by James Vince’s knock. They will back themselves to win the finals and have odds of 1.74 to do so.
Overall record favour Perth Scorchers, recent favour Sixers
Perth Scorchers have the edge in terms of overall records with 11 wins as against eight losses in all seasons of the BBL combined against the Sydney Sixers. However, the recent record is more in favour of the Sixers who have won two of the three matches between the sides this BBL season.
RECOMMENDED BET: Perth Scorchers have a complete unit and despite recent losses to the Sixers, they seem better equipped to win the title and have odds of 1.74 to beat the Sixers
Since 2019, the Sixers have won four of the six head-to-head clashes between these sides. It’s something the Sixers will take confidence from as they head into the all-important final.
Keep an eye on…
Perth and the pace attack: Jhye Richardson, Andrew Tye and Jason Behrendorff are among the most varied pace attacks you will find in the competition. They had an off day against the Sixers in the qualifier and will be keen to make amends as the teams meet again.
James Vince and Josh Philippe: Vince and Philippe have been the destructive forces upfront for the Sixers. The Scorchers will want to see the back of these two quickly if they are to win the finals.
TIP: Liam Livingstone is in terrific form and is a big match player. He has odds of 9.00 to win the Player of the Match award.
