SRH aim to extend consistency while RR look to end win drought
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will be up against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the 26th match of this 2020 edition of the IPL. It is an afternoon game and it will be played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. David Warner and his men have won three and lost three while Rajasthan have lost four out of their six games so far.
The 2016 IPL champions turned things around really well after two back to back losses at the start of this season. SRH now have won three out of their last four games and are looking in good shape. The opening duo of Warner and Jonny Bairstow is among the best while the middle-order has been slightly inconsistent. The bowling is coming together well and despite the absence of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, the pace attack has done decently. The only concern may be the fifth bowling option which teams might look to target. However, given SRH’s current form, they will start as favourites and have the odds of 1.71 to win this game.
Rajasthan Royals have slumped to four successive defeats after starting on a high. Their batting is heavily reliant on Jos Buttler and Steve Smith who’ve blown hot and cold themselves. Sanju Samson’s form has just fallen off the cliff. As far as the bowling is concerned, Jofra Archer has been excellent but apart from that there hasn’t been anything of note. Rahul Tewatia has done well too. The inclusion of Ben Stokes should give them a boost. However, despite that, RR will start as the underdogs and will have the odds of 2.05 to pull off a win.
Overall record is almost neck and neck
As far as the overall head to head record is concerned, it’s almost neck and neck between these two sides. In the 11 games that they’ve played against each other, SRH have won six while RR have emerged victorious on five occasions. However, in the last five games, SRH have won four of them.
RECOMMENDED BET: SRH are looking good at the moment and have momentum on their side. Thus, they have the odds of 1.71 to record a win.
This season, RR are reeling at the seventh place with just four points. On the other hand, SRH are third with six points – three wins and as many losses.
Keep an eye on…
Rashid Khan: The Afghanistan superstar has been magnificent with the ball this season. He has not only kept the lid on the scoring rate, he has picked up wickets consistently as well. Rashid has eight wickets at an economy of 4.83 this year in the IPL.
Jofra Archer: The England fast bowler has been one of the few positives for RR in what has been a rather disappointing IPL campaign so far. Archer has bowled aggressively and run in and hit the deck hard. He has picked up eight wickets. Moreover, he has smashed nine sixes and has a strike-rate of 238.88 with the bat.
TIP: Sunrisers Hyderabad have fabulous opening batsmen and have odds of 1.71 to make a better opening stand than Rajasthan.
