RCB look to build on solid start to the season
It’s not often that you get to start the season off with a win against the defending champions and the strongest team in the competition. RCB have done that to Mumbai Indians in the unfavorable Chepauk wicket, but face a stiffer challenge against Sunrisers Hyderabad. They have odds of 1.68 to beat the David Warner-led franchise in Chennai.
Hyderabad made a few tactical blunders in their season opener, coming up second best against Kolkata Knight Riders, but they do have the raw materials to trouble RCB. Much of it will come down to how they execute their plans, especially with a below par fast bowling attack. They have odds of 2.05 to notch up their first win of the 2021 season.
SRH edge slightly ahead in recent record
Despite the difference in overall performance of the two teams, Sunrisers Hyderabad haven’t had the greatest of times against RCB, perennial underachievers. Warner’s side has won four of the seven matches since 2018, but have also conceded three losses.
RECOMMENDED BET: Sunrisers Hyderabad have better quality in the bowling with Rashid Khan a big part of the difference and have odds of 2.05 to beat the RCB side.
In Chennai, RCB will be up against odds to counter Rashid Khan and the pitch to come out on too again. Especially with their own lead spinner struggling and David Warner a massive factor against them, RCB have odds cut out.

Rashid Khan: The Sunrisers Hyderabad spinner was the biggest threat for Kolkata in the previous game and RCB are likely to find him pretty threatening too. How he is countered by AB de Villiers, who has a known weakness against Rashid’s googlies, could decide the contest.
AB de Villiers: RCB’s batting lynchpin countered a tough Chennai wicket and some excellent Mumbai bowling to lead his side home. Against SRH, he will be up against bowlers that have a good match-up against him.
TIP: Rashid Khan is a world-class spinner who can be a big threat on the Chepauk wicket. He has odds of 10.00 to win the Player of the Match award.
