Melbourne Renegades look to arrest the slide
Melbourne Renegades have been the most disappointing team in this tournament and it has been the case for the second time in as many seasons. Last season, they lost nine on the bounce. This season, after winning the first game against the Perth Scorchers, the Aaron Finch-led have lost six games in a row. Thus, they are not the favourites in this game and have 2.10 as the odds of winning this game.
Meanwhile, Adelaide Strikers have had a pretty up and down season so far. They haven’t got any sort of momentum going throughout the season. They have played seven games, winning three and losing four. The Strikers have lost their last two games pretty comfortably and they will want to bounce back. They will be favourites to do so as well and have the winning odds of 1.60.
Overall record favours the Strikers
It is Adelaide Strikers who have a big lead in the head to head record. They have won eight games against the Melbourne Renegades out of the 12 matches they have played. The latter have won just four. In the last three seasons, Melbourne Renegades have beaten Adelaide Strikers just once.
RECOMMENDED BET: Despite being inconsistent Adelaide Strikers are favourites for this game and have odds of 1.60 to beat the Melbourne Renegades
This is the first time in this season that Adelaide Strikers and Melbourne Renegades are squaring off against each other.
Keep an eye on…
Shaun Marsh: Shaun Marsh has been the star performer for the Melbourne Renegades this season. He has consistently got runs at the top of the order and has registered three half-centuries in seven games. In fact, no other Renegades player is even close to his 247 runs this season. Thus, the onus will once again be on Marsh to get a big score and bat through the innings.
