Sunrisers hope to upset plans
If all goes well, Royal Challengers Bangalore will finish second and head into the play-offs with extra insurance. To do that, they need a few things falling their way, but more importantly, they have to win their two remaining games. SRH should be the easier of the two opponents (the other being Delhi Capitals) and RCB have odds of 1.53 to win this fixture.
Sunrisers Hyderabad have had a dreadful season and are just revamping their group to try out options. It gave them a win against CSK and they pushed KKR with the ball even if only by a bit. RCB will present a different challenge with all the extraordinary players in their squad. SRH have odds of 2.46 to upset their plans.
Overall and recent record even
SRH have an overall win-loss record of 10-8 against RCB in IPL. In the last two seasons, though, RCB have won two and lost just one, a sign of the balance of power shifting.
RECOMMENDED BET: RCB, despite their inconsistent form, have a strong core squad. Back RCB at 1.53 to beat SRH!
Earlier in the season, Royal Challengers Bangalore beat Sunrisers by six runs in a close game that saw Glenn Maxwell thump a half-century and Shahbaz Ahmed take a three-wicket haul.
Keep an eye on…
Maxwell: After a horrendous 2020 season with Punjab Kings, Maxwell has really flourished at RCB, more so because he has been given the license to kill. With three back-to-back fifties up his sleeve, Maxwell will eye SRH’s weak bowling attack barring Rashid Khan.
TIP: Maxwell has three fifties on the trot and has odds of 4.60 to be RCB’s top batter.
SRH and Rashid’s threat: Rashid is seemingly the only threat SRH poses – look to drag the game on until he comes into the attack and makes things happen. Rashid will have to run through the RCB line-up for SRH to stand a chance. Consider this when choosing your bets…
