Punjab hope to continue winning start
To put it fair and square, Punjab Kings were lucky to escape with a win in the first game against Rajasthan Royals, surviving a late blitzkrieg from Sanju Samson. However, there were indeed a lot of positives to take away for Punjab, including a great outing for their less fancied batsmen. Against a weak bowling unit like Chennai Super Kings, they have odds of 1.86 to win in Mumbai.
Chennai started their season with a loss despite a position display of batting from their batters. However, their bowling came a cropper, especially in the powerplay and death overs. They have odds of 1.86 to beat Punjab, but will need to play out of their skin on a difficult wicket for them.

Overall and recent records favour Chennai
Chennai Super Kings have 15 wins and nine losses in head-to-head contests against Punjab Kings in the IPL. CSK have four wins and two losses in the last three seasons against Punjab Kings including wins in the last season when these sides met twice.
RECOMMENDED BET: Although the overall records favour Chennai, Punjab Kings have good batting depth and a decent bowling on paper and have odds of 1.86 to beat the CSK side.
This season, both sides had contrasting games first up, and the focus will be on the Mumbai wicket that appears pretty flatter than its normal standards.

Keep an eye on…
Chris Gayle: The big-hitting West Indian has a lot of things going his way including the Chennai spinners barring Moeen Ali. With a flatter Mumbai wicket, Gayle, in good form too after last game, will be a massive threat for CSK.
Suresh Raina: Raina returned to CSK colours with a fabulous half-century last game and will be backing himself to take on the Punjab attack as well. With the spinners turning the ball into him, Raina becomes a pertinent threat on the Wankhede wicket.
TIP: KL Rahul is perhaps the most consistent IPL batsman now and has odds of 7.00 to win the Player of the Match award.
