Table toppers Sixers take on Renegades while Thunder face strong Stars
The last time Sydney Sixers faced Melbourne Renegades, they made 200-plus runs and then bowled the Renegades out for the second lowest total in the Big Bash League’s history. This time around not a lot has changed and it looks like the Sixers will have another big win. Their odds of a win stand at 1.66 while the Renegades have odds of 2.00 to pull off an upset win.
The other clash to watch out for on Tuesday is the big game between the Melbourne Stars and Sydney Thunder. The finalists in the last two seasons, the Stars have had a middling season while the Thunder have outdid expectations. Much of how their seasons go from here could be dictated by this game. The Stars, despite Thunder being above on the points table, have better odds of 1.74 to win this game. The Thunder have odds of 1.90 to pull off a win.

Sixers and Stars have the better overall record too
The Stars have won eight of their 14 matches against Sydney Thunder while losing six. What’s important, though, is recent head to head records and Stars score here as well. They haven’t lost to Thunder since 2018 and have five successive wins against the franchise in the last three seasons combined.
RECOMMENDED BET: The Stars have a strong all-round outfit and better odds of 1.74 to beat the Thunder.
The Sixers, on the other hand, have had the better of the Renegades eight times while losing five. Once again, recent record favours the side with the better odds. The Sydney Sixers have three back to back wins against the Renegades, all of them coming in 2020. The last one, the most convincing of them all, came in this season, and is the highest win-margin in a game in the Big Bash League’s history.
DON’T MISS OUT… The Sixers have started the season well and have the edge over Renegades with a good recent record. They have better odds of 1.66 to beat the Melbourne Renegades.
Keep an eye on…
The Stars batting: Marcus Stoinis and Glenn Maxwell aside, the Stars have Nicholas Pooran, Andre Fletcher and Nick Larkin in a star-studded line-up. Their batting is their strength and the Thunder will be wary of how powerful their batting unit is. While they lost the last fixture to the Sixers, they still managed to put up a sizeable total.
TIP: Glenn Maxwell is due a big one and has odds of 7.00 to win the Player of the Match award.
The Sixers’ resilience: A massive quality in the Sydney Sixers this season has been their ability to come back from the abyss and fightback. They did that twice already, winning both games from dire situations. With the likes of Dan Christian and Daniel Hughes also stepping up big time, the Sixers appear to be a team to beat.
