Rajasthan hope to end KKR’s season in final game of season
Theres nothing much Rajasthan Royals can do except beat Kolkata in their final match of the 2020 season and hope the other results go their way. They have peaked late in the tournament and their odds of winning stand at a healthy, yet less convincing 2.00 after wins against Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab have them a late boost in the points table. One big win against KKR could push them into the reckoning for a play-off spot.
Kolkata Knight Riders, on the other hand, have been listless right through this IPL season and has been lucky to even been in contention for a play-off spot, one that they might still nail down with a win against Rajasthan. While KKR have relied on a handful of resources right through, their plans have come a cropper despite the leadership change. Their odds of beating Rajasthan Royals stand at 1.80
Overall head to head record almost in balance for Kolkata and Rajasthan
The overall records are in the balance for Kolkata and Rajasthan with the former having won one game more than the latter. Rajasthan have managed to pull off some incredible wins over Kolkata over the years, but the sheen on that is reduced by some equally fine wins by Kolkata. The Knight Riders have 11 wins in head-to-head matches while Rajasthan have had 10 wins over the years. The history of the two teams in this league have been there and thereabouts the same over the years, and it shows in the win-loss ratio. Since 2019, KKR have won two of the three games between these teams including the one earlier this season.
RECOMMENDED BET: Kolkata Knight Riders have a strong bowling core have odds of 1.80 to win this game
Notably, Rajasthan Royals have had the better of Kolkata in eight of the ten times when they batted first. When chasing, meanwhile, KKR have nine wins as opposed to 2 by Rajasthan. They struggled to chase down a target earlier in the season too vs Kolkata.
Keep an eye on…
KKR line-up: Kolkata Knight Riders have struggled to find the best line-up in the absence of Andre Russell and have struggled to balance their team properly. They field a lopsided line-up more often than not and are in danger of being blown away at the top by another Jofra Archer power spell .
Jofra Archer: He has been sensational with his new ball spells and will be keenly watched against a fidgety top-order like KKR’s. If he can bring the likes of Sunil Narine and Eoin Morgan in early to the crease, Rajasthan will have their noses in front.
TIPS: Rajasthan Royals have been terrific in hitting sixes this season and have odds of 1.90 to hit more sixes
