The IPL players are paid incredible amounts of money to perform certain tasks in the match for their team. Whether opening the batting or bowling, being a pinch-hitter, bowling at the death, or being a wicketkeeper, each has his specific role. Chris Jordan
Chris Jordan is a great England national allrounder. He is a specialist overs bowler as well as an excellent lower-order batsman. Chris Jordan took 80 wickets for the English T20 side, with an economy rate of 8.65. He also made 358 runs with a strike rate of 132.1 and he took 40 catches and created seven runouts. He was struggling with his confidence and therefore didn’t play many more games.
Varun Chakravarthy
Varun Chakravarthy entered the IPL arena as a mystery spinner. Varun Chakravarthy IPL stats in 2020 are incredible. He took 17 wickets in 13 games with an economy rate of 6.84. In 2021 he took 18 wickets in 17 games with an economy rate of 6.58. These are exceptional numbers. He claims to have eight spin variations in his bag of tricks, but during the 2022 IPL, he only managed to take four wickets in 8 games. He did not bowl out his four overs in the last three matches. He is a good example of someone picked for a specific role and unfortunately has recently failed to perform.
MS Dhoni
MS Dhoni must be the most loved Indian cricketer who is still playing this beautiful game. The cheering when he gets onto the pitch is something to behold. MS Dhoni IPL stats are impressive. In 206 innings, he made 4,978 runs with a strike rate of 135.02 and an average of 39.2. He is an amazing leader and captain, but in IPL 2022, he was struggling when at the crease. In his 13 innings, he scored 232 runs with a strike rate of 123.4 and an average of 33.14. His task was to score lots of runs very quickly. In IPL 2022, he failed to perform.
Ambati Rayudu
Ambati Rayudu is an Indian batsman who can bat as a finisher or open for his team. He is more renowned for being a great finisher. He started his IPL career in 2010, playing for the Chennai Super Kings. Ambati Rayudu’s IPL stats are excellent. In 175 innings, he scored 4,190 runs with 31 not-outs. His strike rate is 127.12, and the average is 29.10. He was struggling in the 2022 IPL with 274 runs in 11 matches. His average was 24.91, and his strike rate was 122.32. His strike rate and the average for 2022 were way below the performance that he can produce.
Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli is the batter who has scored the most runs in the IPL. Virat Kohli’s IPL stats of 6,624 runs in 215 innings in the IPL is quite astonishing. His career strike rate is 129.15, and the average is 36.20. He has the top and second highest IPL-run partnerships in the IPL with AB de Villiers. However, for the last year or so, he has struggled with all the game formats. His 2022 IPL stats for RCB read 341 runs in 16 matches. His highest individual score was 73 runs. His batting average was 22.73, and his strike rate was 115.99. This is way below par for this fantastic batsman.
Aaron Finch
Aaron Finch is an Australian National cricketer who captains the Australian national ODI side. In 2022 he played for Kolkatta Knight Riders. Aaron Finch’s IPL career stats are excellent. He scored 2.091 runs in 90 innings. His batting average is 25.19, and his strike rate is 128.20. In the 2022 IPL, he only scored 86 runs in 5 innings with an average of 17.20. He is a lower-order batsman that has the ability to give his team a quick start. He failed to perform in IPL 2022.
Moeen Ali
Moeen Ali is an England National all-round cricketer. He was struggling with form throughout the IPL 2022. In IPL 2021, he made 357 runs in 15 matches with a strike rate of 137.3 and an average of 25.5. He took 6 wickets with an economy rate of 6.35 and an average of 26.83. Moeen Ali’s IPL 2022 was supposed to be great. He came to India in form with bat and ball in all cricketing formats, but he failed to perform in IPL 2022. Moeen Ali’s IPL 2022 stats are below average for him., as he only made 244 runs in 10 innings and took 8 wickets in 10 matches.
