England women hope to whitewash
India’s scoring rate is in focus as they head into the final ODI of the series against England women with the series already lost 0-2. India’s middle-order has been reliant on Mithali Raj to do the anchor role, and while she has clocked big scores, the scoring rate has seen no push. India’s chances to win the final game, odds of 3.50, depend highly on their bowling unit.
England, on the other hand, breezed through for a win in the first game and then seemed to struggle in the second until debutant Sophia Dunkley made a solid 73* to guide them home. They have odds of 1.26 to win the final ODI.
Odds and numbers favour England
Overall, England women have won 39 of the 71 ODIs between these sides with India women winning 30. In England, the record is completely lopsided. England women have won 24 of the 31 ODIs, losing just five, with two others ending in no-result.
RECOMMENDED BET: England women have a strong batting line-up and have odds of 1.26 to win the final ODI to complete a whitewash.
India women last won an ODI in England against England women in 2017 in the group stage of the World Cup. But they went on to lose the finals to them in the same World Cup.
Keep an eye on…
Mithali Raj: Mithali has made scores of 72 and 59 in the series and is the leading run getter. While her scoring rate remains a debate, India’a middle-order cannot afford Mithali to have an off day.
Amy Jones: Amy Jones hasn’t made a lot of runs, but has been excellent behind the stumps, effecting lightning quick stumpings and taking stunning catches.
