DC hope for better bowling show
Delhi Capitals take on Royal Challengers Bangalore in 22nd match of the IPL at Ahmedabad. Delhi, despite their promise on paper, have still been getting away with wins and they have odds of 1.83 to pull off another win in this match against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
RCB have a strong squad with good all-round strength and the Ahmedabad surface could be to their liking. But RCB still need runs from Virat Kohli and more time to play AB de Villiers in. They have odds of 1.90 to win against DC.
Overall records in favour of RCB
RCB have won 15 and conceded 10 losses to Delhi Capitals in IPL history. Since 2019, Delhi, though won for on the trot against Royal Challengers Bangalore. This season Delhi and RCB have started off well but come into this match with question marks hanging on their ability to be consistent across venues.
RECOMMENDED BET: RCB are a more rounded side, giving them odds of 1.90 to beat DC.
RCB will be banking on their batsmen, in particular AB de Villiers to take down Delhi’s bowlers. Delhi, meanwhile, could decide to bench a couple of players and rotate in a few local players to try and keep their season afloat.
Keep an eye on…
Shaw – Dhawan: The most aggressive opening pair in the IPL now, Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan aim to maximize the powerplay and score runs quicker than most in this phase. They will, however, have a strong RCB powerplay bowling unit to counter.
Yuzvendra Chahal: RCB have been reliant on him through the last few years for wickets in the middle overs. Chahal, though, has spiralled down in terms of performance of late and will need a big game on Tuesday.
