Rajasthan Royals have hopes on overseas players
Chennai Super Kings managed to overcome the odds and produce a stunning performance against Punjab Kings to come out on top in a clash they weren’t expected to win. Deepak Chahar’s new ball spell has shown CSK can still grit it out but they will have their task cut out against RR even with odds of 1.76 to win again in Mumbai.
Rajasthan Royals have injury concerns but have regrouped well to become a solid line-up. They have a good array of batting options and have shown they can be tactically astute to win games. Still a strong competitor, RR have odds of 1.95 to beat CSK.
Overall records favour Chennai Super Kings, but recent record puts RR ahead
Chennai have won 14 of the 24 matches between these sides. They had lost all three matches to RR in 2008, the inaugural season of the IPL that Rajasthan won, but since then did not only catch up but also went past them to become the more dominant side.
RECOMMENDED BET: RR have been spot on with their tactics and have odds of 1.95 to beat CSK.
In 2020, RR won both games against CSK and this season, they have managed to take games down to the wire, winning one even despite the absence of big players.
Keep an eye on…
Sanju Samson: The Rajasthan skipper has not only been elite with his intent but also his words and the team seems to be shaping up well under him. Samson has had a stellar hundred in the season and will be backing himself to produce another good knock against a side he fancies.
TIP: Sanju Samson is in great nick and has odds of 11.00 to win the Player of the Match award.
Moeen Ali: Moeen Ali has quickly become a mainstay player for CSK and his all-round value makes him a great buy for CSK. He has proved his presence makes them a better side already and against RR and their leggies, Moeen the batsman might have a big role to play.
