RCB aim for five on the trot
Royal Challengers Bangalore will be aiming for a fifth successive win as they take on arch-rivals Chennai Super Kings, in the first of the two double headers on Sunday. Given the massive history these teams have, it is expected to be a cracking contest. RCB have odds of 1.68 to win this match.
Chennai Super Kings, contrary to expectations, has made a really good start to the season with three wins and a loss in the four games and is more familiar now with the Mumbai pitch where this game will be played. CSK have odds of 2.05 to win this game.
Overall records heavily in favour of CSK
CSK have won 17 and lost just 9 of the head to head contests between these teams making it a pretty important game for them to try and sneak in another win. But in recent years the record is a lot more even with both teams winning two apiece since 2019.
RECOMMENDED BET: RCB are well suited to the Mumbai pitch and are in form, giving them odds of 1.68 to beat CSK.
The 2021 season has been outrageous for the two teams. Few would have believed that we would see CSK and RCB at the top after as many games in this season.
Keep an eye on…
Virat Kohli: A return to form for Virat Kohli makes RCB really potent. The Indian skipper had a series of ordinary knocks despite which RCB won and now with him firing, the onus will be on CSK to try and find a way past him.
TIP: Kohli is in form finally and could be eyeing a big one, giving him odds of 8.00 to win the Player of the Match award.
Deepak Chahar: He breaks or makes the game in the powerplay on this Wankhede wicket and we could see him make a major impact yet again this game.
