After a compelling display in CPL 2019, Guyana Amazon Warriors have started their CPL campaign in 2020 on the wrong foot. Despite the sluggish surfaces playing right into their alley, the Warriors haven’t quite had the results they would have hoped to have. In five games, they have lost three and won just two and while their tactic of choking teams with spin has succeeded, they have choked themselves with the bat against a similar bowling kind.
The Trinbago Knight Riders are, meanwhile, on a winning spree and have three wins in three games. Their batting and bowling have clicked in sync and the Kieron Pollard-led outfit, who already boast of three title wins, are strong contenders this time around in the CPL.
The Knight Riders have odds priced at 1.74 while the Guyana Amazon Warriors stand at 2.10.

RECOMMENDED BET: Trinbago Knight Riders to win the title at 2.50
In the last three years, Guyana still stand ahead with a 4-3 win-loss ratio. Guyana Amazon Warriors won both games against the Trinbago Knight Riders in 2019 when they reached the finals unbeaten. This season, they haven’t quite found their mojo and lost the opening game to the Knight Riders.
Keep an eye on…
Imran Tahir: At 41, Imran Tahir isn’t the most effective spinner in the competition, but he still has a unique way of stamping his presence in the game. In five matches this season, Tahir has nine wickets at an average of 14.33 and is the joint-second-highest wicket-taker in the tournament. The leg-spinner has been used quite well by the Warriors and could be effective against a Knight Riders line-up that isn’t the best against spin.
Colin Munro and Sunil Narine: Tahir and Ashmead Nedd both turn the ball into the left-handers and Colin Munro and Sunil Narine, the two top run-scorers for the Knight Riders this season, could be a handful for the Amazon Warriors. The left-handers have been effective with their slog sweep against the spinners and these two should pose a major threat.
Featured Bet: Trinbago Knight Riders are priced at 1.74 to beat Guyana Amazon Warriors.
